[news.config] Where is the news on Fridays?

cratz@icldata.UUCP (Tony Cratz) (03/26/89)

For the last few weeks I have notice that starting sometime late
Thursday night/Friday morning the news seem to just stop coming
into my site. At first I thought that maybe it was just my system
them I found that it seems to be more then just my sit.

What gives? Why is the load getting to be Sunday-Thursday?

Most likely, that's when one of your upstream feeds runs expire. With
B News, incoming articles are saved to be processed after expire is
done, so if they run expire once a week it'll take a while and they
won't pass anything on to you for the duration.
