Has anyone bought or used the new Texas Instruments OmniLaser 2115 or 2108 printers? They are 300 dpi PostScript printers. I'm told that the 2115 is 15 ppm with 2 bins and the 2108 is 8 ppm with 1 bin. Both printers feature 2 Meg RAM, 512k ROM and come with Centronics, RS-232 serial, RS 422 and AppleTalk interfaces. There is emulation for Epson, HP LJ+, Diablo, HP-GL, etc. Fonts can be stored on line in cartridges or down-loaded, and it resizes on the fly. Prices are about 8 k$ (US) and 6 k$ respectively. I'm especially interested in the 2115 which uses the new "second genration" Ricoh engine, alleged to be *very* durable. It comes with 3 Meg or RAM. If you have use or bought one of these beasts, please e-mail me you comments and I'll summarize yo the net. -- Mike Clarkson, ...!allegra \ BITNET: mike@YUYETTI or CRESS, York University, ...!decvax \ SYMALG@YUSOL 4700 Keele Street, ...!ihnp4 > !utzoo!yetti!mike North York, Ontario, ...!linus / CANADA M3J 1P3. ...!watmath / Phone: +1 (416) 736-2100 x 7767 "...the most inevitable business communications system on the planet." - ROLM magazine advertisement which planet?
