I having looking for the following facility to be included into TeX, if anyone of you has successfully attempted them, I would appreciate if you let me know how. (1) Including MacDraw and MacWrite or even MacPaint document into TeX document. (2) Including the bib facility to produce references. (3) Including S document into TeX document. Note that S is a statistics package, which will produce a file in plot format. What I did, is convert the plot format into postscript form and use the command \special(name) where name is the file contain the postscript form. However, it will always print the graph produce by S at the bottom of a page and whatever text that comes after the special command will only be printed after about half way through on the following page, the page header refused to print on the following page as well. The impression I got after a couple of trial is that the graph always start to print at the bottom of a page, I still can't find a way of shifting the graph to anywhere of the page. May be some of you can tell me how. Another thing, that we suspect is that the coordinate is in absolute values and hence 'confuse' TeX. I wonder whether there is a way of converting this so that TeX would 'understand' it when I convert the plot form into the postscript form. (I DON'T want to change the source of S). Thanks in advance. ---- Tang Guan Yaw/Patrick International:+61 62 68 8819 Local: (062) 68 8819 Dept. Computer Science Telex: ADFADM AA62030 University College ACSNET: gyp@csadfa.oz Aust. I have all that is needed to include Mac drawings in a TeX document, provided you have a PostScript printer (e.g. LaserWriter). This works for any document except MacPaint, in which case you must cut and paste into MacDraw first. The same approach can be used to include troff documents, after they have been translated to postscript. This includes troff, plot, pic, grap et al. If you do not have a LaserWriter, then there is no hope. -- Jean-Francois Lamy AI Group, Dept of Computer Science CSNet: lamy@ai.toronto.edu University of Toronto EAN: lamy@ai.toronto.cdn Toronto, ON, Canada M5S 1A4 UUCP: lamy@utai.uucp
