A neighbor of mine just got a QMS P800 laser printer for use with his IBM PC. I have a Masscomp Unix system and would like to hook-up the QMS. Unfortunately, Masscomp supplies the QMS too, and uses "punitive pricing" to encourage customers to buy it from them. That is, the troff and GPS filters come "free" with their QMS, but cost $2500 if purchased alone! This stinks, and is in conflict with Masscomp's advertised goals of facilitating their customers' use of industry standard components. Anyhow, I was wondering if there was some public-domain software to do these conversions? -- Joel M Miller; Smith-Kettlewell Eye Research Foundation 2232 Webster St; San Francisco CA 94115; 415/561-1703 UUCP: {ihnp4,qantel,dual}!ptsfa!ski!jmm The foregoing statements may change my opinions, but not those of the Foundation!
