I read with interest the posting about Imagen's treatment of people with 12/300's. Too bad that the Ricoh engine isn't better but Imagen has had trouble with Canon too. At my previous job we had an Imagen 5/480, a 480 dpi printer based on a Canon engine. This printer used lots of liquid toner and was constantly out of adjustment, although for the few days it was adjusted correctly, the output looked great. Imagen eventually agreed that this engine was a dog and let us trade it in on 8/300's, which have been working great. I'm not sure how good a deal they made us, but anything was better than being left with a boat anchor. So, Imagen is to be commended for recognizing bad stuff. Now if only the U.S. automobile industry could do the same. Jon Forrest ucbvax!mtxinu!blia!forrest
