      .... I also like working on my PC, rather than a mini-
or mainframe.  So why doesn't someone write a previewer to
take in an n/troff file and give me a WYSIWYG display?  If
it can be done in other packages (like Ventura Publisher, etc.)
why not troff?

A troff previewer called "proof" is available for bit-mapped
terminals such as the 5620 DMD. It ought to be possible to port
it to a PC with an appropriate screen.
