[comp.text] WHERE CAN I GET Outlined/Polygonized Font Definitions???

pete@octopus.UUCP (02/16/87)

I've tried Berkeley fonts. I've tried Hershey fonts. Both (especially Hershey)
are good in their place: reasonably small output sizes. But to get good filled
fonts for large titles, etc, it looks like I need to find a source for
outlined-font definitions (where the line segments for a glyph describe the
outline of the glyph, with pointers to the extra polygon(s) that describe
interior islands ('R') or exterior islands ('i').

Can anybody direct me to a source for any fonts like this? Public Domain
is preferred. Purchasable is ok. Thousands of dollars is pretty ridiculous.

Please mail responses. If there is interest, I'll post a summary. If necessary,
I'll start up round two of the Usenet Font Consortium (round one got us the
Hershey fonts on mod.sources).
