I am trying to get the secretaries in our department into the 20th century of Office Automation (i.e. away from Wordstar). The general consensus among them is that they want Macintoshes. Okay by me. So we buy some Macs and use Appletalk to connect them all to a Laserwriter+. My questions are: 1. Is there any way to connect our MS-DOS machines to the Appletalk (these are all IBM clones) so that they can effectively use the Laserwriter ? 2. Is there any way to connect our Unix boxes to the Appletalk for the same purpose. We have a VAX, some 3b2s and 3b1s. The VAX is doing just fine talking to an HP LaserJet, so I am more interested in finding some sort of logical connection between a 3b[12] and the Appletalk. Anyone out there in netland have any ideas. Am I crazy or what??
