[comp.text] What to do with troff/nroff output

I have what must be a dumb question:


I have some nroff/troff 'able files that also contain tbl and eqn 
requests. I am able to run them through [nt]roff, eqn and tbl 
generating some output file. Where do I find a definition of the
control codes imbedded in this file so that I can convert the 
output to MY printer or maybe even a TEK4014 terminal ?

eqn <file.ms | nroff -ms | col | ul > file.out

Or better, yet is there some facility that already exists that I can use ?

NOTE: I don't have and cannot get ditroff, and pic!!! That would be too easy!
