We are in the process of trying to connect a HP Laserjet II to our NCR
Tower 32. In switching I have noticed that the Laserjet does not issue CR's
upon receipt of a Newline. This is switch settable on the Dataproducts but
I cannot find where I may do the same to the Laserjet. NROFF seems to
handle the actual text formatting well enough if I pipe the report
through it, but I do not wish to do use implicit NROFF commands in the
reports. Does anyone know how I may handle this situation without
having to write a filter to force CR/LF's? Also, we have a need to
use some of the same downloadable fonts that the laserjet has
available to it through the PC. Does anyone know if we may obtain
those kinds of fonts for our Tower machines?
I would appreciate a reply from anyone who has connected a Laser
Printer to their Unix Boxes as this may help me also. Please reply to
