There have been queries about how to get TeX. For UNIX, at least, the answer comes from the latest issue of TUGBOAT. ===== How to order: To order a full distribution of TeX, send $100.00 (foreign sites $110.00, to cover the extra postage) payable to the University of Washington to: Pierre A. MacKay Northwest Computer Support Group, DW-10 University of Washington Seattle, Washington 98195 The normal distribution is a tar tape, blocked 20, 1600 bpi. If you need 1/4 in streamer cartridges for the SUN, be sure to tell us. Although we have had problems previously with cartridge tapes, we can usually hope to get them out quite fast now. ===== NB: Don't send me mail about any of this or about other TeX ports - I will ignore. If you have other TeX questions, you are urged to join the TeXHax mailing list, address texhax-request@score.stanford.edu. Ken

Another thing I forgot to mention is that unless you have BSD brand Unix or the SysV port of Berkeley pc you don't have much chance of getting Pascal TeX to work. There are versions of TeX in C but none on the official distribution tape. I should mention that you should be prepared to spend a couple of days configuring TeX. It is not a trivial software package. The tape has 35 Mb of goodies. Ken
