Does anyone have recommendations for the metafont mode settings for making fonts for a Dataproducts LZR-2600 printer? Characters made for a Canon engine look much too thin and light on the Dataproducts, and I was wondering if someone has already gone to the trouble to experiment with this printer. Thanks very much. The fonts I generated are used for both the LZR-2600 and the QMS-PS 800 printers. They are very fine on the QMS-PS 800 (could even be a bit lighter), but - as you say - much too light on the LZR-2600. Another thing is, that the complete set of fonts takes up quite a lot of disc space. Thus, I'd very much like to use the same fonts for the both printers. Is it at all possible to do that, so that (from the same set of fonts) equally fine results can be produced on either printer? Perhaps by the way of changing some (PostScript?) defaults? Or have the maintenance to "tune in" one of the printers? Anybody has some experience with this or similar problem? Hints etc. are very much appreciated.
