I got the following error message when running TeX with two pictex figures on one page: TeX capacity exceeded, sorry [main memory size=62701} or at least something like that. I am running TeX version 2.1 for Berkeley Unix on my Sun3. The question is how does one increase TeX's capacity? Just increase the size of mem_max? -- NAME: William E. I'm not certain about the original TeX, but Common TeX is set up for this right now. You just specify -DBIG or -DBIGG on the compile lines. I've got a modified tex.h which allows me to define -BIGGG since I use PicTeX a lot. Your dumped image becomes larger, and it's getting to the point where dumping TeX doesn't make much sense anymore.
