Are there RAM drives around that present a 5 1/4" floppy disk interface to the world? That is, they would be plug-interchangable with an 5 1/4" floppy disk (DD/80tk preferred, but not required.) The only difference would be seek time, which would be instantaneous. They could be daisy-chained with regular floppies drives. SemiDisks only partially satisfy this, since they do not provide a 5 1/4" floppy disk hardware interface. The hardware I'm considering (TRS CoCo) cannot support such a device. Any pointers? /Steve Dyer decvax!wivax!dyer decvax!bbncca!dyer

How about a bubble memory device that would do the same thing. I would love to hang one of these on my ibm-pc and use my ram for more amusing things that a ram disk.
