Is there anyone who got Common TeX to work on a Valid (68020 cpu) machine
which runs 4.2bsd? I compiled it successfully, both initex and virtex.
I can generate lplain.fmt, but when I test it with small.tex, I get the
following:

This is Common TeX, Version 2.9 (preloaded format=lplain 88.3.18) 18 MAR 1988 21:17
