I have been looking into document interchange formats. Recently I ran into a reference to a "Rich Text Format" invented by Microsoft. From what I've heard, this is a straight ASCII representation of a complete MS-Word document, formatting info and all. Where can I get a spec for this format? I'll appreciate any info (even rumor (-: ) that you can send. -- Chip Salzenberg "chip@ateng.UU.NET" or "codas!ateng!chip" A T Engineering My employer's opinions are a trade secret. I got one a while back (well, actually, I got half of one -- it was one side of a two sided copy. Talk about QA problems!) and it looks pretty neat. One REAL nice thing about this is that you can take a text only application, like HyperCard, and teach it to output a file that can be read into Word in a formatted form, so you can (indirectly) do typeface styles.
