Does anyone have any ptroff fontfamilies other then Times and
Helvetica (ie, the .ct .head and .map files)?

They give you everything you need to do Courier as well.  The 
distribution is just missing the header files.  Copy the Helvetica
ones over and changes the references from Helvetica to Courier.
