[comp.text] TeXfonts and dvi2ps

leen@uva.UUCP (Leen Torenvliet) (10/27/88)

Does anyone have a version of dvi2ps that can be told *not* to look for
.pxl files when confronted with certain (families of) fonts. As anyone knows
many Postscript driven Laserwriters have built_in fonts. It is possible to
obtain .tfm files for these fonts, so you can produce a .dvi file, but
unfortunately dvi2ps insists on having .pxl descriptions in order to produce
Postscript, so you can't very well produce postscript to download.
I'd appreciate any pointers.
