The recently posted editor me_cd that came over comp.binaries.ibmpc
claims to be able to use the bios and direct screen writes for video
update. Can anybody tell me how to change the method that it uses
for video display?

The posted ME uses both ansi escape sequences and direct video writes.
The is no way to change this. There are, however, versions of ME that
only use escape sequences and versions that only do direct video writes.
