Good morning (it was when I posted)! I need some advice if any can be found. We are ordering several SUN 386i's, with a SUN 4 as file server, on a net with several MASSCOMPS supporting lot's of dumb terminals. The question is; Does anyone out there know of a good (or bad) text processor that can run on all of these? The goal is to move towards some sort of wysiwyg editor, or at least something easier than troff. We'd like graphic capabilities, with a heavy emphasis on mathematical equations. If it can't support something like eqn, than we'd like to be able to pipe it through eqn, or vice versa. Preferably, this would run on the suns, but we'd like to be able to edit from dumb terminals on the masscomps. I'm interested in TeX, since there seems to be a fair amount of discussion on it here, and it was mentioned to me last night. Might this do the job? I'd appreciate any and all leads. Thanx in advance! _________________________ Carl "Mr. Troff" Hallberg "I pity dem macros!!!" {pacbell,lll-winken,ucsfcgl}!eeg!carl
