Hello Netland, I have a copy of TeX that is running on the Unix PC. The only way I have of previewing it, is to print a copy and then look at it. This wastes a lot of paper and is a hassle since the laser printer is remote for the site of the PC. On one of the other machines, we have a copy of dvitty which does much of what I am looking for, a simple previewer, that works on a dumb tty. The one problem, it (dvitty) is written in pascal and the Pascal to C translator I have, isn't smart enough to deal with it. I am asking for one of 4 things, 1. A 'C' implementation of a TeX previewer. I don't need fancy fonts... just something that will show the general structure of the output. (Best) 2. A Pascal to C translator that would work on dvitty. (Good) 3. A pascal compiler that runs on a Unix PC. (I am not holding my breath) 4. Another possibility that I forgot about is a dvi to ascii converter. I saw a request for one within the past few weeks, Was there any luck with that? ( almost as good as #1). Also any other ideas would be welcome. aTdHvAaNnKcSe ========================================================================== The opinions expressed above are all mine and belong to nobody else.
