#N:uokvax:4700002:000:379 uokvax!andree Feb 9 11:45:00 1984 I'm interested in hooking an ACU into an office phone system to place voice calls. I would rather avoid paying for 1 ACU per line, if possible. To do this, I need to be able to switch the ACU among our phone lines. Has anybody ever heard of a device that allows this? Or even a good place to start looking for one? I'll post a summary if anyone is interested. Thanx, <mike

Here at the CSO in New Jersey we have been using the NJ Bell 57A1 and 57B1 Data Units (Acu-sharing arrangements) for about two years. These units mount on the modem racks supplied by NJ Bell also (212A's), and allow you to control up to twelve modems with one ACU (the Bell 801A). This is not a "cheap" solution, rather a good, reliable solution for computer center environments, etc. Maurice Lampell ...ihnp4!houxd!ml ....waiting for the new CSO name.... -- From the desk of M.
