I am writing lab reports for the department. Some of the figures in the labs, are taller than they are wide and would look wery good if they could be typeset in this way: put of text over the figure but| leave space for the figure below| the current line of text fill out| a bunch of filled | text on this side | but leave room | for a figure on | the right hand | side. | yet more text Figure 1: | and more text caption | text below the figure environment| and yet more text on the page.| ---------------------------------+ I know I can create the correct line length for the text, by using textwidth or TeX's parshape. Unfortunately, I have to hand insert the comands for returning the line length to the correct length. Also, this scheme won't let me use the figure environment in latex to do my numbering and captioning. What I would like is to have a figure environment with an optional width parameter that will create a box of that width and fill text around the figure automagically. Does anybody have the correct files/macros or am I trying to force LaTeX to do something that it can't (easily) do. Please Email to me, I don't think this is worth cluttering up the net with. If I get reasonable responses, I will summarize. ========================================================================== The opinions expressed above are all mine and belong to nobody else.
