Dear fellow netters I am looking for a LaTeX (sub)style that allows chapter relative page numbering for a technical report where individual chapters will be updated on different occasions. The page numbers should be of the form 5-32 (chapter-page) or C-47 (appendix-page). This mode of page numbering must also appear in the index, in cross references in table-of- contents- and list-of-table files etc. I think that this means to redefine \thepage since this seems to be the counter that appears in the headings as well as in index- entries, X-refs and toc files. Please e-mail any suggestions---I shall summarize to this news- group. Thanks in advance Hellmuth Broda ____________________________________________________________________________ | Dr.rer.nat.
