I picked up TeX, Metafont last year around April from UUNET.
The current tape image on UUNET is dated from July 27, 1988.
I'm wondering about what date the latest dist. tape would have,
so I can have UUNET get the latest stuff for downloading. Also,
what is the best place for UUNET to ftp from.
In particular, I recall that the stuff I got last year included
web2c which didn't work worth a darn, and I ended up converting
Metafont by using the ptoc Pascal to C translator. I assume
that by now the latest tape includes a web2c that can convert
both TeX and Metafont?
