Help! Could someone explain to me why \topinsert doesn't use \topskip? My problem is that I have a big headline that requires me to set \topinsert to 10mm. When I only have plain text on a page everything looks all right. But when I have a \topinsert on the page the topinsertet material begins "in" the headline, ie the \topskip is not used. Preferably I would like to have a macro that I could use in the middle of a paragraf, just like \fig {this is an example} {\vbox{}}, that would leave "figure <somenumber>" in the text and topinsert some material - \vbox{} and {this is an example}. One problem is that the TeX book says that topinsert should only be used between paragrafs... No doubt the answer is in the TeX book, but where? Thanks! Per Hammarlund d85-per@nada.kth.se
