[comp.text] Simple question re: latex page number placement

A friend of mine is working on this master's thesis, and he wants to use
LaTeX to format it.  So far, he's having a devil of a time putting
the page number of the upper right hand corner:

We've looked through the LaTeX book, but couldn't seem to find any
references that help.

I imagine this kind of format must come up quite often, especially
for technical documents.  Does anyone have a solution?
