We have a problem using tbl in creating tables that happen to end on the last line of the page. We use multipage tables in the following manner: .TS H center, expand, box; table headings .TH data .TE Invariably, if the last line of the table happens to be the last line of the page, the headings will still be printed at the top of the next page and box rules will go part of the way down the page (into whatever follows the table, most unattractive). We have to go in and insert/delete blank lines to fix the problem. Does anyone have a fix/suggestion for this? We cannot put the table in a floating display because we have the floating display registers set for inserting externally generated pages (page eject after .FD and reserve full page). Is this a bug in tbl, mm, or nroff? We are running IBM Xenix 2 with mm macros and tbl. Thanks, Doug Toppin, uunet!melpar!toppin
