[comp.text] New gnutex patch: Fig output supported

dfk@romeo.cs.duke.edu (David F. Kotz) (03/21/89)

Gnutex is a data- and function-plotting program that can output the
plots to many devices, or as latex pictures. Now it can output
Fig-compatible files.

Patch 6 is available for gnutex. This contains a few small changes to
make it work on some systems. Its primary benefit is the output of
Fig-code. This means that the graphs produced by gnutex can be edited
with the Fig graphics editor, translated by any of the TransFig
filters (eg, fig2epic, allowing cleaner-looking output), and so forth.
Anyone with Fig will want to get this patch. Other people might want
to get Fig!

You can ftp gnutex or the patch from cs.duke.edu (128.109.140.1) in
~ftp/pub. For those with no ftp access, I will be posting the patch to
comp.text in two pieces.
