gentle [men | ladies], we are currently running TeX C version 2.9, but i have heard of versions as high as 2.98. I however have not found any of these versions available at the conventional ftp sites, such as june.washington.edu or standford. what is the latest version of TeX and LaTeX, and where can I obtain it? You can find the latest version (2.98) of TeX on Score.Stanford.EDU in the file <TEX.WEB>TEX.WEB. You can also find the latest version of LaTeX files there in the <TEX.LATEX> directory. Be sure to use ASCII mode in FTP, since Score is a TOPS-20 host. -- Joe Weening Computer Science Dept. weening@Gang-of-Four.Stanford.EDU Stanford University
