Does anyone know of a .dvi driver for TeX specifically for the Linotronic 300? What about getting or making the usual fonts (plus a few ones I have cooked up) for it? (At either 1270 or 2540 d.p.i.) Doug McDonald (mcdonald@uxe.cso.uiuc.edu)

There are several image processing that Linotronic 300's can be made to understand: Densi, CORA, and PostScript to name a few. Since the Mergenthaler(sp?) font set is supposed to be (has been?) converted to PostScript, and dvi->PostScript drivers are readily available, your best bet is to use a PostScript driver that is capable of recognizing and using the fonts on the L300's own hard drive(s).
