I have tried using a Canon scanner and some software called ReadRight. I wasn't really impressed of it's capabilities, so I thougt of having a look at the pixels myself. It's possible to get a dump from the system containing the graphic image - but I can't figure out the format. I really tried hard to decipher the bits and I've found out this much: 1) The first part of the file is garbage and is not used 2) Then comes the graphic, line after line (horisontally). The lines start with a pattern (can't remember it right now) and an offset to the next line. 3) I guess the lines tell how long the distance is to the next point where black goes to white or vice versa. 4) It's kind of bit-oriented because I found something like: 1. line: ...00010101010100101000000101 2. line: ...0001010101010010100000010010000000 (seccond line takes another byte to get one more bit) I used a 300 dpi resolution. I suspect that there might be some floating point numbers or some correction-bits. Is there anybody out there who can help me? | UUCP: kbe@dde.dk (Kjeld Borch Egevang) | Dansk Data Elektronik | or ...mcvax!enea!dkuug!dde!kbe | Denmark
