Is there a PC version of METAFONT? I wrote a Turbo Pascal change file for GFtoPK and it works, but I don't have time to do the same thing for MF. Your info is greatly appreciated.

Yes, there is a PC version METAFONT for sale from Personal TeX Incoporaated. I own a copy and it works OK. Personal TeX Inc. 12 Madrona Avenue Mill Valley, CA 94941 It costs less than $200.00

In addition to pcMF (Personal TeX, $195) there are a few other MF's for
MS-DOS. TurboMF is distributed with TurboTeX (Kinch Computer Company,
$150 executables only, $300 executables + source). There is also DosMF
which can be obtained from the author for $75 (with DosTeX) this includes
DosTeX, the whole mess may be freely distributed and is also available
(I think) for anonymous FTP from wsmr-simtel20.army.mil and for
a distribution fee from Jon Radel ($10.50 if you supply 5.25" floppies,
$35 if he supplies the floppies) Gary Beihl, the autho may be reached at

There is a company called Kinch selling TurboTeX and Metafont for PCs. .
