Hi, I have tried to set up the dvitps, new DVI to PS driver by Stephan v. Bechtolsheim, but I can't make pfd2tfm work correctly. Below is a part of the output of 'make World': ... make all-tfm ../../pfd2tfm/src/pfd2tfm -p ../../pfd2tfm/evs Courier.afm ====> Starting ====> Done with options ====> Processing based on AFM file. ====> Reading AFM file now ../../pfd2tfm/src/pfd2tfm: yacc error: syntax error Last token read: 1: T_ID, line 1 in "/usr/lib/tex/fonts/Courier.afm" Now showing couple of the last lines read: 1: StartFontMetrics pfd2tfm: fatal error. Error message: "yyerror(): Compiler error" ..... The .afm files I am use are those from TeXPS.tar file. I believe they are OK. Does anybody have any idea what is going wrong? What am I doing wrong??? Please help me.... I also had problems applying pfd2tfm to Courier.afm and I found
that Courier has too much characters defined in the afm-file.
After removing four characters from the afm-file pfd2tfm
worked fine. The same problem appeared with the other Courier-
Fonts (Courier-Bold,...) and with all Letter-Gothic Fonts.
I am using the afm-files from ps-file-server@adobe.com and the
old version of dvi2ps from S. v. Bechtolsheim, but it may be the
same error in the newer version.
