I am looking for a "good" LaTeX style file for a thesis; of course, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but a few of my criteria are: (1) Chapter headings which aren't big, ugly, and take up half a page (as the LaTeX defaults do); (2) 1.5 inch left margins (3) 1 inch (or a little more) right margins (4) Double spacing, or something close (say \baselinestretch of 1.35 or greater. The .sty needn't be specifically for a thesis; anything with decent chapter headings and correct spacing will do. I have looked at the MIT thesis and UCal thesis style on sun.soe.clarkson.edu, but they don't excite me. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Please email if possible. martin wittmann mrwittma@phoenix.princeton.edu
