[comp.text] .dvi driver for HP Deskjet on Atari-ST now available!!

jlong@blackbird.afit.af.mil (Jeffrey K. Long) (08/29/89)

Announcing the release of a PD LaTeX file driver for the HP-DeskJet
printer on the Atari-ST line of computers! Compiled from source based upon
 the popular Utah driver family,
these drivers process the page bitmap in several strips to allow use on
machines with smaller memory. They provide 300dpi quality output of .dvi
file. I uploaded three files to terminator.cc.umich.edu in the directory
/atari/new/ (they may be moved to /atari/tex/):
DVIDSK.ARC contains two versions of the drivers (for different memory
configurations) and a short tutorial (I`m no great author, but it gets the
point across I hope :-) ) DSKFONTS.ARC contains about 500K of 300dpi
fonts for use with the driver, and DESKJET.HLP just outlines the info
on the two files and gives my mail address.
If someone wants these and doesn't have ftp access, please E-Mail
me and we will see what arrangements we can make.
You will need a hard disk to run these, the fonts take too much
space to work on floppies. Also, you should be fairly LaTeX or TeX
literate to understand my short documentation. Enjoy!!
