I have a weird problem with my laserprinter. It is a Philips NMS1480, this is exactly the same laserprinter as the new Toshiba and Epson laserprinters. I think the engine is made by TEC. This laserprinter should be HP LjII compatible but sometimes there is to much room between adjacent letters in a word. This occurs mostly with O's and U's and occasionaly with other letters. However in most words the O's and U's are properly placed. I use PCTEX and Nelson Beebe's excellent dvijep driver. When I print the same file on an original HP LjII everything is OK, so the problem must be in the laserprinter. Has anyone experienced this problem before and is there a solution? My version of the Beebe drivers is 2.10b, is there a new driver and where can I get it? (I have ftp). I have also seen that there is a special dvihp2 driver, perhaps this is the solution. Could some kind soul tell me where it's available? Thanks in advance Paul Derks
