When using PiCTeX or Fig-fs with LaTeX I sometimes get "tex capacity exceeded" sometimes (depending on which computer/hence version of tex used) this is followed by "see guru to fix". Well don't have a guru handy (there are only 4 tex users at my site). I gather TeX needs to be recompiled with some parameter(s) made larger. Advice ? parameter name = ? value = ? Thanks in advance (trusting aren't I!). ___________________________________________________________ |Mike Whitbeck | | |Desert Research Inst. | mikew@wheeler.wrc.unr.edu | |POB 60220 | mikew@wheeler.UUCP | |RENO, NV 89506 | 702-673-7348 | |__________________________|______________________________| Any simple problem can be made insoluble if enough committee meetings are held to discuss it.

I'm not sure if this applies to your case, but the only cause I have seen for that complaint is a TeX/LaTeX file with no line feeds. My version of TeX is running on an IBM/AT compatible under PCDOS 3.30. TeX files downloaded from Unix hosts frequently produce this error until I run them throughh something which adds line feeds to all CRs in the file. Hope this helps, Doug Lee (dgl00215@uxa.cso.uiuc.edu)
