We're trying to install METAFONT here but for some reason we can't get it to generate the .tfm-file. If anybody has experienced this before or think they know what is wrong, we would love to hear from you. --Kjell

Make sure you are using the correct mode_def (ie, you probably want to
say '\mode:=localfont;' when calling mf. Otherwise you are generating
proof or smoke mode fonts (ie, is the file <font>.2602gf?).
