[comp.text] Installing TeX/metafont on Stellar mini-supercomputers

     I am trying to compile/install the TeX distribution from
labrea.stanford.edu on a Stellar mini-supercomputer.
     TeX/LaTeX compiled successfully and passed the trip test but
metafont failed the trap test printing the 4 extra lines below at the
end of trap.pl.

   (CHARWD R 0.0)
   (CHARDP R -15.999999)
   )

Bibtex fails to read in any auxiliary files at all.

     Suggestions for fixing metafont, bibtex or general
compilation/installation on the Stellar are welcome.  I'd be happy to
work with other Stellar users!
