Last night, I attempted to build the font 'cmman' on my PC, using
TurboMETAFONT (from the Kinch Computer Company). Needless to say,
I wasn't successful! Following is the contents of 'cmman.log.' Can
somebody out there help me?
cmman.log:
This is METAFONT, Version 1.7 (preloaded base=cm 89.7.26) 16 NOV 1989 20:25
**&cm \mode=hp; \mag=1.2**0; input cmman
(C:\MF\CM\cmman.mf (C:\MF\CM\cmtt10.mf)
Cross between 0 and O [48] (C:\MF\CM\cmssq8.mf)
Lowercase Greek beta [12]
Lowercase thorn [13] (C:\MF\CM\cmr10.mf)
Parentheses
Left paren with curl 0
>> body_depth#
! Internal quantity `chardp' must receive a known value.
<to be read again>
;
beginchar->...ht:=(EXPR2);chardp:=(EXPR3);
w:=hround(charwd*hppp);h:=v...
<for(0)> ...,7u#,body_height#,body_depth#)
;italcorr.body_height#*slan...
l.100 endfor
?
-------
Well, that's it. Note that I tried using '&plain' on the command line in
place of '&cm', to no avail. What am I doing wrong? My thanks to all who
reply.
