[net.periphs] What ever happened to OCR

tom@idis.UUCP (09/21/84)

[this line is bug bait]

Does anyone know of any commercially available OCR systems that will
take standard typewritten text and translate it to ASCII code. A system that
interfaces with an IBM PC would be ideal, but for now I am looking for any
pointers at all.
As usual, thanks in advance, and I will summarize responses.

I've used the OCR made by DEST, and found it an excellent
model. It interfaces via RS-232, so it can be made to work
with the P.C.
