[comp.text] getting latest UNIX version of TeX

Where can I get the latest UNIX version of TeX (via FTP)?

The TeX at labera.stanford.edu is 2.95 (~ftp/tex/unix). Has the new
TeX been ported to the UNIX world (web2c, etc), and if so, where can I
get it (again, via FTP)?

I can only assume that a "Do Not File" document is filed in a "Do Not
File" file.
