I have successfully compiled TeX on our sun3's and sun4's. I'm able to undump TeX on the sun4's but I get a __DYNAMIC version 0 not supported, or a segmentation violation depending whether I link with dynamic or static. Is there a solution to this problem? Don't bother using undump. Get the latest version of the Unix tex distribution that has web2c and you won't need undump since tex and friends will be translated to c and will be fast enough so that hassling with undump isn't necessary. If you don't/can't wait to get the Unix tex tape you can get web2c from ics.uci.edu via anonymous ftp.
