What English grammar reference do netlanders find most helpful? I want more confidence in the editing decisions I make. A borrowed copy of *The Brief English Handbook* includes the basic grammar rules that I'm looking for. I'll buy my own copy if netlanders don't recommend a pure grammar reference. (The BEH is formatted as a writing tutorial and includes a lot of information on report styles and subject development.) I use *Fowler's Modern English Usage* for the stickiest word problems, and the *Chicago Manual of Style* guides the format of my work. I'm looking for a grammar reference to compliment these. I will, of course, post a summary of all responses mailed to me. Thanks. -- Dave Evans (614)764-6173 +-------------------------------+ OCLC Online Computer Library Center, Inc. | OCLC = Services for Libraries | 6565 Frantz Rd.
