[comp.text] scanners, DCA, information wanted

I heard about scanner software & hardware interpreting the pixels
and producing IBM`s DCA-RFT Format. This format can be used for
most word processing systems on the PC.

Has anybody experiences with this kind of scanners ? Any information
is appreciated.
