Let me preface this with an apology for using the net bandwidth for what seems such a simple question, but I have tried to figure out on my own and looked in the Metafont book ... I finally got metafont up and running on my 3b1, a feat of which I am proud, and now all I want to do is use the standard cm*.mf files to generate the .tfm and .xxxpk fonts. All I get are .xxxgf fonts instead. I can't find any documentation anywhere -- not even a man page. Can anyone point me to any kind of simple users guide for using mf?
