i was hoping to find ASCII bitmaps for the alphabet any type face will do. essentially what i am looking for is something like this: ----*****----- ------*------- ------*------- ------*------- ------*------- (the letter T) at least i think they would be called ASCII bitmaps, right? thanks in advance vince pugliese apollo@ecf.utoronto.ca

Try banner(6). banner "hello" will print "hello" in such large bitmaps...

Those I have for an Epson FX80 and Taxan/Kaga KP-810 have such bitmaps in.
