apollo@ecf.utoronto.ca (Vince Pugliese) (03/19/90)

i was hoping to find ASCII bitmaps for the alphabet
any type face will do.
essentially what i am looking for is something like
this:

----*****-----
------*-------
------*-------
------*-------
------*-------
(the letter T)

at least i think they would be called ASCII bitmaps, right?

thanks in advance

Try banner(6). banner "hello" will print "hello" in such large bitmaps...

How about looking in the back of a dot matrix printer manual? Those
I have for an Epson FX80 and Taxan/Kaga KP-810 have such bitmaps in.
I don't know if they are copyright or anything.
