[comp.text] low-res TeX

ruck@sphere.UUCP (John R Ruckstuhl Jr) (06/12/90)

I'd like to know a little more about TeX. I print at home on an
HPThinkjet. Is it worth using if one's printer is such low-res as 96dpi
(h & v)? Is it even possible?

If so, I'd guess it would only be useful for drafts -- small characters
would be illegible. But at least you could see the form while revising,
and print elsewhere (on laser printer) when ready.

I apologize if this topic has recently been discussed; I don't
ordinarily read this newsgroup.
Thank you for any feedback and recommendations.

Regards,
John.
