I used bibtex to create a .bbl file from .bib databases. The bibliography style I used was alpha style. However, I ran into a problem. In .bbl file, I found that two entry labels produced by bibtex were the same except with different years. For example, [DP60] M. Davis and H. Putnam, ..., 1960. [DP88] R. Dechter and J. Pearl, ..., 1988. Apparently, if bibtex can include more letters in the entry label, then there won't be two DP's. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks in advance. Shie-Jue Lee
